In these days of uncertainty, I just keep thinking:

The world will never be the same.

I think we’re all wondering how this will impact our lives, our careers, our communities—life as we know it—right?

Well, kittens, I can’t speak for everything, but I can speak for the future of VO.

Here’s my take:

• We are all going to be called to be more human, more real than ever before.
• The communications industry is alive and well—although it’s changing. Don’t think your career is over—it’s not.
• There will be no time (or need) for perfection
• You will have to be brave enough to show up and be you. Just raw, beautiful, you.
• Nothing new happens inside of your comfort zone. Well, due to this new reality—here we are—all finding ourselves outside of our comfort zones. At least growth can happen from here (which is why I just rebranded my website).

I believe that with this economic downturn, an authentic brand has never been more important.

Here’s why:

When you’re authentically well-branded, you don’t have competition because you’re you and you attract your exact tribe.

When you brand your VO career, you change your life—because by shining a spotlight on the real you, you connect with people more, and that changes everything.
From the bottom of my heart, I want you to succeed. And I know this:

You need a brand. Without a brand, you will be on the losing side of disruption. There’s no time to be a faker. It’s time to be more YOU than you’ve ever been before.

I want you to feel seen. Truly seen! I think it’s all we want as human beings. And you can give it to yourself by owning your authenticity and working on your brand. My tips:

• Don’t be perfect. Be YOU.
• In the moment that we’re real with each other, that’s when everything gets better. It’s freeing and unifying to say, “I’m worried, and I’m not sure exactly what to do, but I know that helping others feels good.”
• A brand doesn’t happen all by itself or manifest from nowhere. Awesomely, it’s already inside you!
• I want to help you have an amazing brand!
